    The Festival is the proud and honoured recipient of the City of Yarra's Community Event of the year. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who contributed to making this a such a great event. A huge thank you to our volunteers and our feature artists Angela Barnett in 2008 and Yandell Walton in 2009

  • 2009 Festival closes - thank you!

    Well the 2009 Gertrude Street Projection Festival is now over and what a fantastic week. With over 100 artists exhibiting works over 20 sites the festival was even more successful than we could have hoped for. Thank you to all our artists, volunteers, sponsors and supporters. The response from the general public was overwhelmingly positive.

    "I just want to say that this exhibition reminds me of why I love living in Melbourne. I'm feeling so inspired and proud because of it!!"

    Olaf Meyer will be installing projectors in a whopping 20 projector site venues!!!

    Last year we had 11 venues. Well done to all! Thank-you for all your technical contrubutions  - without the loans and supporting additional sites we would'nt acheive this result. Together we make it better.

    Entries for the 2009 Projection Festival closed on 30 May 2009.  We had an overwhelming response this year...exciting stuff...we look forward to sharing some of the best with you at the outdoor night gallery on Gertrude Street during the festival in July.
