The City of Yarra liked the idea for the first outside walk, ride and drive-through gallery on Gertrude Street, but there were a number of financial and legal factors that meant we wouldn't be able to start with theoriginal solar gallery idea.

Lucky for us they also loved the Digital Media Street Festival idea! So, with a slight change of our project schedule we decided to make it our first big project.

Hence, the Association submitted an application for a 2008 Community Grant. The Grants were awarded at the Richmond Town Hall on 14 February 2008, with the Gertrude Association being one of the recipients!
