On July 24, at Dante's Restaurant the Fitzroy History Society launched
a history of Gertrude Street. The book was lauched by Rose Chong. The
book details property by property and gives a brief overview of its
age and previous uses. Gertrude Street has a rich history with many
diverse changes occurring from its very early history as one of
Melbourne's first streets beyond the city of Melbourne boundary.

The books are avaliable for sale at $10 each from Dante's Restaurant
